KUKA ROBOCUT

The RoboCut integrates a waterjet and saw in one machine and produces a finished cut product, without the need to have the pieces cut on any other machine. It’s designed with a 16" saw that will cut all straight lines at speeds above 180" a minute.  The waterjet is used for radius, sink, faucet and inside corners with speeds up to 17" a minute. The RoboCut was engineered to optimize cutting area, ensuring waste minimization. It utilizes a double table cutting system with vision technology allowing for maximum productivity and shorter times for loading and unloading slabs. The RoboCut increases productivity with minimal error.

Advantages of the RoboCut

*Less moving parts then most machines allowing less service to be done on the machine.

*RoboCut can easily cut 25-30 slabs in one 8 hour shift.

*With the RoboCut, there is no need to have the operator place the material in a specific position, a photo is taken and the robot automatically knows where the slab is and where to cut.

CNC MACHINE

The machine's large work envelope easily allows the operator to process an entire slab. With the current trend in the natural stone countertop industry being larger parts (islands and peninsulas) and fewer seams, the design of the CNC machine permits machining the entire granite slab when needed.

This machine has the capability to produce the largest part that granite slab can yield. The large table also makes it possible to set up multiple parts.  The machine's computerized features permits the operator to easily create (or edit) geometry.

The CNC with operator ease-of-use as the number one requirement can tool path even a simple shape with a bullnose, waterfall, or other meticulous profile.  The CNC’s visual validation software makes it possible to review the machining sequence on the computer screen before machine code is generated, which in turn makes stone fabrication easier and preventing human error.

DIGITAL TEMPLATE

Marmara Stone is currently utilizing a portable digital template device with an integrated screen, a special measuring pen used for construction projects, Residential or Commercial.  With the unique pen, the device is capable of accurately registering the inner and outer contours of any object from point to point or continuously, horizontally, vertically or slanted; even the most complex shapes and contours eliminating the costly calculation mistakes that so often occur when measuring by hand.

This system eliminates the source of errors and mistakes, resulting in the loss of materials and man-hours, especially when working with products requiring custom fabrication (i.e. natural stone countertops and vanities; CORIAN® , SILESTONE® or CAESAR STONE® solid surfacing materials, etc.). 

Recording of this highly detailed information is reduced to mere seconds, eliminating efficient and easy to use, with a range of ten meters (diameter).  Everything you measure with the measuring pen is digitally stored. Once the measuring task has been completed, the results appear on the screen. Thus, enabling Marmara Stone to determine exactly what has been measured.  The digital information automatically translates into a CAD-drawing which can easily be connected to a Marmara Stone PC and RoboCut and CNC machine. Additionally, it is always possible and easy to update a client's data.
